This charming one-room cabin was built on our property so that we could offer others a unique, peaceful get-away in Vermont. Something uncomplicated and personal – a place where you’ll fall asleep to the sound of the Rock River flowing by.
The simple, cozy accommodations include a king-size bed, (or two twins), bathroom with tiled shower, and a wrap-around deck. The cabin has a small built-in table for 2, a mini-fridge, toaster oven, French-press coffeemaker, electric tea kettle, and utensils for preparing simple meals. Outside is a gas grill and bistro table for 2 on the deck. A fire pit and hammock are just out the door. Wi-fi is available.
A complimentary breakfast is served on the porch of the main house on the morning of your choice. Enjoy Chris’s homemade popovers, seasonal fruit, local jams, organic yogurt, and Brattleboro’s own True North Granola. Gluten-free options are available.
The Rock River wraps around our property, and for rock hounds, this is a piece of heaven. There’s an abundance of beautiful and unusual rocks along the river bed. Following the path from the cabin to the river leads to a wealth of small waterfalls and many places to sit on a hot summer’s day and let the water cascade over you. Great hiking, biking and kayaking are close by.
We’re located in the village of South Newfane, Vermont – just 20 minutes from the lively arts town of Brattleboro, downtown Wilmington, the Marlboro Music Festival, and Mount Snow. Easily accessible from Boston and NYC.
