The dramatic effects of Tropical Storm Irene on the Vermont landscape were the inspiration for this series. Remnants of the flood’s aftermath – piles of rocks, strewn debris and littered sand – gave form to these closeup and abstract photographs. Finished prints are mounted and varnished onto wooden panels, which can be endlessly re-arranged in a variety of grids and patterns – reflecting the impermanent nature of the landscape, and life itself.
